PAYMENT AND BILLING
What payment methods are available?
When creating the Shardimage services, our primary goal was that the amount you want to charge your account with should be at your disposal quickly - therefore, you can pay by debit card as well. If you choose paying by debit card, you have two options, provided by our partner Stripe or PayPal. These are the fastest means to add to your balance - it happens immediately. There is, of course, the option to transfer money to your account, but you need to consider that it may take some time.
Can I charge my balance?
Each time, you only need to pay in accordance with how much you have used our product. In order to start using Shardimage, you need to upload funds to your balance, which we'll charge as much as you use our product. If you don't use it for a week, then you'll get no charge for a week. You can upload your balance manually or automatically. If you prefer the former, you can set a notification, so we can let you know if your balance goes under a certain amount. We tried to make the automatic upload as convenient as possible: you set the limit at which you need a new upload and specify the amount as well. You have a chance to select multiple payment methods (debit cards), so if we cannot charge from one card, we'll try the next in line. You can see the detailed usage of your balance for 90 days, while the monthly break-down is at your disposal for an unlimited time.
Is it require to give details about payment method?
During registration, you have a chance to provide the billing data and the information necessary to pay by debit card. Please note: we don't store any card data, it goes straight through a secure channel to our payment service provider partner, Stripe.
Can I change my payment information later?
You can modify your payment information at any time. You can delete the already existing data and add new debit card. The system allows you to set multiple cards as well.

Can I enable the two step verification in Shardimage?
By clicking on the Profile in the menu, you can setup two step verification by providing your mobile phone number. Your mobile number will under no circumstances be handed out to any third parties, and you can modify them any time. You can choose an authenticator application too, we recommend the Google Authenticator and the Microsoft Authenticator.
Is suspicious activity protection built into the system? *
When creating our system, our goal was trying to provide maximum security, so you don't need to worry about anything. There are multiple security measures included that are all part of our goal to make your using our services uninterrupted.
How secure is this storage?
We try to maximize the security, so that's why we have Google's system running in the background. You have the option to turn on two-step verification for your account, and, if this is not enough, you also have the option of saving the uploaded images to a third-party services provider of your choice. This backup process can be completely automatic, even on-the-fly.
Is there any option to export-import images?
Certainly, you have the option of importing and exporting images within Shardimage to the most popular storage space providers, like Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft Azure Storage, etc.
What happens when my accounts traffic increases?
Since you use an online balance of your account, you always pay for a service based on how much you are using it. Our system is scalable, so if the traffic is increasing, the image serving still remains fast and stable.
What happens when my accounts traffic drop?
Same as above; so, if you have less traffic, you will pay less as well.
What’s the point of the social login?
Using your social media account, you can access your account faster. It is not obligatory to use it; it's your choice to utilize it or not. In case you change your mind and don't want to use it later, you can turn it off any time. Needless to say, we won't post anything to your wall in your name, this function is for making the login process simpler.
Can I hibernate my account?
We offer no option for hibernating your account, since there is no need to do so. When creating Shardimage, we wanted a system that you only pay for when you are using it. If you're not using it, we won't charge you with anything, so there is no need for account hibernation either.
What happens with my images, when i delete my account?
If you delete your account, all the data you have been storing - including the uploaded images - will be deleted. Please, use this option only after careful consideration, since we cannot restore neither the images, nor anything else account-related. Deleting your account of course will, in no way, concerns the images that you store at third-party storage providers.
